 I am a Maine native who grew up exploring the lakes and woods around the large lakefront farm where I grew up (and still reside) in central Maine. As a boy, I especially enjoyed my role as the family's unofficial guide for many out-of-town visitors, and have always retained my early enthusiasm for introducing others to small boating, fishing, hiking, and exploring the local woods and waterways. I now have over 40 years of experience in the arts of canoeing, camping, fishing (including fly fishing), and hiking. I am a full time Registered Master Maine Guide and a former Emergency Medical Technician with training in wilderness rescue. As a member of the Maine Wilderness Guides Organization I support the preservation of remote places for the use of future generations.
